Voluntary Recall of Phosphate Reagent #1

Taylor Water Technologies is committed to providing products that are safe to use for our customers.  As part of our commitment and in coordination with the Consumer Product Safety Commission, we are conducting a voluntary recall of Phosphate Reagent #1 bottles (part # R-0980-A), which is sold as part of the Phosphate Test Kit (part # K-1106), and sold separately. The Phosphate Reagent #1 bottles in question were manufactured before August 7, 2024 and were determined to present a safety hazard because they lack the required child resistant packaging and labeling for products containing sulfuric acid. This can pose a risk of chemical burns to the skin or eyes and, if ingested, internal corrosive burns.

Taylor Water Technologies is offering all consumers who are in possession of an unexpired recalled Phosphate Reagent #1 bottle a free replacement bottle.  To receive your free replacement Phosphate Reagent #1 bottle, please be ready to submit a picture of the recalled bottle and contact Taylor Water Technologies at 1-800-837-8548 or through the contact form available at:

Which Phosphate Test Kits and Phosphate Reagent #1 Bottles are affected?

This recall is issued for all unexpired Phosphate Test Kits, Part No. K-1106, and Replacement Phosphate Reagent #1 Bottles, Part No. R-0980, that were manufactured and sold in the United States before August 7, 2024.
