Two Ways To Improve Drop-Test Accuracy
Taylor’s dropper tips are carefully manufactured to provide consistent drop size. The drop size is 25 drops/mL, +/- 1 drop. This is to assure consistent and accurate test results from one reagent bottle to the next.
A buildup of static at a dropper bottle's tip will cause a visible, progressive decrease in drop size. Adding less reagent to your water sample than called for by the instructions will adversely impact the test's outcome. Periodically wiping around (not over) the dropper tip with a clean damp cloth or paper towel will eliminate this static.
Holding a dropper bottle on a slant (angled) also will result in an improper amount of reagent being dispensed. Hold it vertically to maintain uniform drop size.
