REGULATORY COMPLIANCE CHEMIST
The Regulatory Compliance Chemist will be tasked with understanding and fulfilling all regulatory reporting requirements, including but not limited to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Maryland Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MOSHA), Global Harmonization System (GHS), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE), Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), and Canada’s Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS). He/she will work with government agencies and possible external partners to clarify regulatory requirements. He/she will work with the R&D team to gather information and develop compliant product documentation. The Regulatory Compliance Chemist will be responsible for preparing and submitting government regulatory reports. Additionally, the Regulatory Compliance Chemist will chair the Safety Committee.

Incumbent provides graphic design for electronic and print media and also assists the Director of Marketing in managing the traffic/schedule and deadlines related to Marketing Department projects.
Description of Work:
•    Coordinate scheduling of projects in conjunction with the Director of Marketing.
•    Develop artwork that is consistent with corporate branding and style guides, ensuring a consistent look and feel in the family of publications/media produced by the company.
•    Create and design artwork (print and digital) for projects such as corporate identity materials, product packaging, labels, brochures, fliers, newsletters, greeting cards, trade show booth graphics, journal advertisements, direct mail packages.
•    Prepare Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, digital newsletters, webinars, videos, mobile graphics, and content (including animations) for the company website.
•    Edit/color correct product photography and existing artwork needed to complete a project.
•    Secure proof approvals and coordinate press checks authorized by the Director of Marketing.
Qualifications (minimum knowledge, skills, abilities):
•    Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and 1 year of design experience, or an Associate’s degree with 3 years of professional design experience.
•    Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash/Animate, etc.), Final Cut Express, MPEG, Streamclip, Cubase, Adobe Premiere, Adobe Media Encoder, Adobe Effects or similar tools, Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•    Strong skills in typography, composition, and color theory.
•    Competency in designing for print, web packaging, an presentations.
•    Must exhibit strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work on multiple assignments simultaneously, while respecting deadlines and bringing projects to completion in a timely fashion.
•    In-depth knowledge of how to best design for different communication channels.
•    Ability to be able to work with clients to define needs, project scope, and reasonable project deadlines.
•    Experience with video, animation, motion graphics, and AV editing software are a plus.
